Biography

Sr. Distinguished Applied Researcher/Sr. Director at Capital One. He directs the research and development of Generative AI technologies to drive results and demonstrate business impact. His research spans different areas of NLP and AI, focussing on understanding textual data, question answering, efficient fine-tuning techniques for LLMs, and evaluation. Before joining Capital One, he was an Applied Science Manager at Amazon where he led a cross-functional team that developed and deployed robust Natural Language Understanding Models, data selection approaches, and evaluation framework for Alexa and Generative AI foundation models. Anoop has over 15 years of experience in both academia and industry, where he has led teams in conducting cutting-edge research and developing innovative applications. Anoop received PhD from Tufts University in Massachusetts, has over 50 publications, reviewed scientific papers for leading venues, and chaired top-tier conferences and workshops.
